Journey Update – Every Mile Was Worth It
Wow... what an incredible journey.
7 days & 3 hours.
2,273 miles.
Forty-six hours in vehicles. Three miles walking the border road with luggage in the heat. Long days, unexpected obstacles, exhaustion, and moments where only God could make a way.
But through every mile, we watched God open door after door. Every obstacle became another opportunity to trust Him, and every delay became another chance to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Looking back, I realize this journey was never just about getting a shuttle bus to Mexico. It was about introducing people to Jesus along the way.
One moment will stay with me forever.
We met a woman who was sitting on the street, begging for money so she could buy medicine. When she heard I was a missionary serving women in Tapachula who had walked a road very similar to hers, tears immediately began streaming down her face. She quietly thanked God because He had provided the money she needed.
But God wasn't finished.
I gently asked her, "Why don't you ask Jesus to make you stronger every day until you no longer need the medicine?"
Then I told her something I pray she never forgets.
Jesus doesn't just want to provide for your needs. He wants a relationship with you. He wants to walk beside you every single day, strengthen you when you're weak, comfort you when you're hurting, and remind you that you are never alone.
As those words were spoken, I watched hope replace despair. The look of joy on her face is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. In that moment, money wasn't the greatest gift she received. The greatest gift was hearing that Jesus knew her, loved her, and wanted to walk with her every day.
That's why we go.
Not simply to deliver supplies.
Not simply to cross borders.
Not simply to drive thousands of miles.
We go because every soul matters to God.
To everyone who prayed, encouraged us, followed this journey, and helped purchase the shuttle bus, THANK YOU. You didn't just help move a vehicle—you became part of every prayer, every Gospel conversation, every life touched, and every door God opened along the way.
There will be one final update in about a month when the children begin school and we get to witness the next chapter of what God is doing through this ministry.
That update will be shared on the SendMe Refuge app.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing in the mission. Thank you for helping us take the hope of Jesus where it is needed most.

UPDATE 5: They didn’t make it as far as they would had liked yesterday. Ended up staying in a hotel last night, and they got back at it this morning to drive the rest of the way into Tapachula. Please continue to pray for traveling mercies and strength.
UPDATE 4: Mission Update – Day 4
Today was a very long and difficult day, but once again we witnessed the faithfulness of God.
We had to unload all of the ministry supplies from the shuttle bus and transfer everything into a minivan and a Suburban so we could continue the journey.
But, first let me rewind to Sunday.
During the church service, the message was about the Holy Spirit. After the service, two precious ladies came up to me, placed money in my hand, and simply said, "You may need this for the journey."
At the time, I didn't understand why.
Today, God revealed His plan.
We were stopped by a Mexican customs agent who told us we had to pay. There was no negotiating. To make a long story short, the amount those two ladies had given me was the exact amount I needed along with the cash I had. Had they not been obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we would not have had the cash, and the agent would have taken everything.
What an incredible reminder that God always goes before us. Before we ever faced the obstacle, He had already made a way through the obedience of His people.
By God's grace, every supply is now safely in Mexico. Thank you to everyone who has been praying and believing with us.
Please keep fighting the good fight. Keep praying. We believe tomorrow is the big day as we complete the process for the shuttle bus and begin the journey to Tapachula, Mexico.
God is answering prayers, and we are excited to see what He will do next.

UPDATE 3: Thank you for continuing to pray for us. We have certainly seen God at work through every obstacle.
Our latest challenge has been getting our shuttle bus and ministry supplies into Mexico. We knew the shuttle bus had to be completely empty before it could be imported, so we rented a storage unit and planned to bring the supplies across later. However, after speaking with the customs broker, we discovered that once the shuttle bus is imported into Mexico, it cannot return to the United States. Suddenly, we had a new problem—how would we get all of our ministry supplies into Mexico?
The Lord has provided an unexpected solution. We have found people willing to help transport everything across the border for us. While the process has not been what we originally planned, God has continued to open doors at every step.
This journey has reminded us that God often works in ways we never expect. Time and again, He takes what appears to be an obstacle and turns it into an opportunity to display His faithfulness.
We truly believe God is answering the prayers of His people. Thank you for standing with us in prayer. Please continue to pray for the safe transportation of all the supplies, for wisdom as we navigate the remaining details, and that this shuttle bus will soon be serving the children and families God has called us to minister to.
As always, we are reminded of the promise in Romans 8:28:
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." (ESV)

UPDATE 2: Archie & Timmy are back in Texas staying. Paperwork is being completed & verified—they are saying they should be able to continue through Mexico on Thursday!!!!
UPDATE: Archie & Timmy made it to the border around 5:30 am this morning. They have met up with Arnoldo on the Mexican side. At the moment, they are trying to figure out how to get all of the goods across—once they import the bus, it cannot go back into the states to get our goods out of the storage building (we were not aware of this). Keep praying! 🙏🏼
Please be in prayer for Archie & Timmy as they started the journey today driving to Mexico in the bus we were blessed with. They will make it to Texas in the morning and will complete the paperwork to import the bus into Mexico. The broker said allow for 5 days at the border to import—we are praying for a day or 2 at the border!
