Two pillows shipped. As you all know we are a nonprofit. We do not gain anything from what we do. Just the joy of making a difference in someone else's journey. We have not been able to do any fundraising in a while. We have had a donation recently to go toward our encouragement bags, which was a huge blessing, but nothing toward the pillows. All of the materials and shipping cost comes out of our own pockets. Not that I mind at all. I just can't afford it alone all the time. That being said, if anyone feels led to help toward the shipping costs that would be such a big blessing! Shipping of course depends on the weight of the pillow so it's not always the same. But here is the receipt of the two I just sent. I currently have 3 more I'm working on and will be sending hopefully in the next two weeks. If you do want to help the best way is through venmo. My venmo account is solely for Hudson's Hugs. I will attach that in the comments. I can also take cash as well, which would go into my venmo account to be used for only HH purchases.

Help us be the hands and feet of Jesus. Help us put a smile on the face of families going through a hard season in their lives.

As this weekend approaches, with it the Heavenversary of our Hudson, we feel a wave of emotions. I'm so happy he got to celebrate his 2nd birthday in Heaven but we sure do miss him a lot. Sometimes I think his brothers know him better than we think. They both like looking at his picture. As much as I miss him I'm still so thankful for those 13 days. 💙

Forever thankful for all of the prayers we have received. And I am continuing to pray for all of those that we have had the privilege of helping with a weighted pillow. I still pray it brings them comfort.

Happy Thursday everyone! As I'm sure you all know part of Hudsons Hugs is to provide weighted baby pillows to those that experience a loss. I personally make every pillow by hand. This is something I love being able to provide for families. However, it does cost to supply the materials. I purchase some at Hobby Lobby and some on amazon. If you would love to be a blessing and help with these pillows, your material donation would be greatly appreciated. If that's you shoot me a message or comment below and I'll be happy to let you know what materials are needed and where to send them. If you would like to help but cant donate any materials at this time, please say a prayer for these families. Also pray that these pillows can offer them a little peace and comfort.

I love this picture. People sometimes have the mindset that your grief should be textbook. Cut and dry. Going from one stage to the next then the next. Well, that's just not accurate. For those who have had to really deal with grief, you find that you process and deal in your own way... in your own time... There is no easy fix. No easy button. No step-by-step plan to moving forward. Grief is a rollercoaster. An up and down battle that we attack each and every day. Each day we get up and we start our day with our loved one on our mind. We tackle our normal day to day routine, still with them on our mind and we go to bed still with them on our mind. We never stop missing them. Some days we can go through the day and have only happy thoughts and feelings. And then some days we relive those last moments over and over. It's been almost 2 years since we lost our Huddy Buddy. We have his picture all over the house and his candle in our living room. We have his shadow box in our bedroom. Precious memories all over the place and I wouldn't have it any other way. I need to see him and remember him every day. But because of those memories everywhere, it makes some days really hard.

If you are the one experiencing grief today, please give yourself grace. Allow yourself to feel it and live it however is best for you and don't allow the world to tell you how you should feel and live. I have to have Hudsons things out so I can see them but if that's not for you then don't. There is no shame in needing to pack up everything you have of theirs and put it away. Each person has to figure out how to process and move forward for them.

If you know someone or have a loved one that is experiencing grief today, please be patient with them. Love them and let them know your there for them but allow them the time and space they need to be able to grieve how they need to. Encourage them. They just need to know and feel understood and loved.

Happy Sunday Facebook family. It's about time for us to make some more encouragement care bags for NICU families. I'm including a list of items that would be great for our bags. These are just ideas, however anything that would offer encouragement is wonderful. These bags bring so much encouragement on some of the hardest days in the NICU. They always brought a smile to my face. We are so blessed to be able to offer these for other families. We can't do this without your help though. Everything we use to fill the bags is donated. If you feel the urge to help and would like to donate items please let me know. I can meet someone to pick up items or I can give the address if you do your shopping online. Anything is such a blessing. 💙

Happy New Year to everyone. I want to take a moment this morning to thankyou everyone that has been a part of Hudson's Hugs in 2025. Anyone that made donations for encouragement bags. Anyone that made monetary donations. Those that have prayed for our organization or purchased shirts. You are all so greatly appreciated.

In 2025 we delivered over 100 encouragement care bags to families in the NICU. In 2026 we want to do more. However we can't do it without you. We need your help with items for our bags. Please keep your donations coming. You are such a blessing 💙

Absolutely. This is amazing for NICU parents but also for all of us. Celebrate Christmas in your own way. Even if that looks like staying home with your spouse and kiddos. Quiet and peaceful. Or if that's attending all of the functions. Whatever fuels your soul and peace. Do that. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for how you choose to celebrate.
