Fairport-Perinton Dollars for Scholars

Fairport-Perinton Dollars for Scholars A scholarship committee selects the recipients each year based on an application process which is not need-based.

Fairport-Perinton Dollars for Scholars, a local chapter of the Scholarship America, was established in 1989 by volunteers interested in providing financial support to community young people pursuing higher education. Fairport-Perinton Dollars for Scholars (DFS) is administered by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of community leaders, school personnel, parents, and students. All monies raised

by the local chapter are awarded to deserving students who reside within the Fairport Central School District regardless of which school they attend. The program is not-for-profit, tax-exempt, and publicly supported. If you would like to support Fairport-Perinton Dollars for Scholars by volunteering your time as a board member or as a volunteer for one of the fundraising events, or if you would like more information, please call Michelle Bonville at 598-3511.

🎓 Tonight, we celebrated the incredible accomplishments of the Fairport Class of 2026 at our annual awards ceremony! Because of the unmatched generosity of our amazing community, we were able to celebrate some truly staggering milestones tonight:

🌟 108 total scholarships distributed!
💰 $119,100 in total support awarded!

Thank you to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community members. Your continuous support ensures we can keep giving back to these phenomenal students and investing in their bright futures.

In case you missed it… our first-ever Meat Raffle was a huge success! 🥩

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the event will help fund four scholarships for Fairport High School’s Class of 2026 🎓

We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated raffle baskets, and helped make the night such a success — including the VFW Post 8495 for hosting us.

It was a fun night filled with great food, community spirit, and support for a meaningful cause: helping local students take the next step in their education.
