On 21 February 2026, the Valley of Rochester A.A.S.R held their Symbolic Lodge Award ceremony and introduced an important addition to our program, The District Lodge Award. While the Symbolic Lodge Award honors individual Brothers, the District Lodge Award recognizes the collective strength and vitality of an entire Lodge. This new recognition strengthens our shared mission: to celebrate not only the individual Brother who labors faithfully, but also the Lodge that embodies the spirit of Freemasonry through its actions, its outreach, and its commitment to growth.

The meaning and significance of Labor Day -
Honoring Workers:
The holiday serves as a time to honor the contributions and sacrifices of the working men and women who have build and sustained the country.
Celebrating the Labor Movement:
It recognizes the power of workers to form unions and collectively improve their lives by fighting for better pay, safer conditions, and reasonable hours.
Becoming a federal holiday:
After a period of unrest in the labor movement, President Grover Cleveland signed Labor Day into law as a federal holiday on June 28, 1894.
