The Four-Seven

The Four-Seven The 4:7 mission helps individuals transition from life behind bars to true freedom on the INSIDE

Through a relationship with Christian community, The Four-Seven is committed to equipping the lives of the incarcerated and their families with tools and resources that lead to transformation. We believe every individual is worth fighting for, and we believe in a God of grace. That is why we are committed to running hard after the incarcerated and helping them rebuild their lives. There has been a

time for all of us when someone invested themselves in our lives in an effort to help us back to our feet when we had fallen. All it takes is one helping hand to get back up, and we want to ensure that all have the opportunity to experience the unconditional love and grace Christ has to offer. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23); But to each one of us, grace has been given as Christ apportioned it (Ephesians 4:7).

It takes people who are willing to show up, open doors, and share resources to make SECOND CHANCES happen.

Be part of what makes restoration possible.

Pray. Volunteer. Give.

For returning residents, the first 30 days after release are some of the most fragile moments of reentry.

Pressure builds. Stability is still forming. The next step is not always clear.

Through Four-Seven programs, returning residents are surrounded by circles of support inside and outside the walls — relationships, practical tools, and opportunities that help them keep moving toward transformation.

Because release may open the gate, but community helps build the road forward.

Reentry does not only happen at the moment of release. It happens in the waiting, the preparing, the reconnecting, and the rebuilding.

That is where Four-Seven shows up — helping families and returning residents move toward a second chance with support already around them.

Because real reentry support reaches inside, outside, and every step in between.

Mother’s Day looks different for every family.

While many are spending today with their children, there are mothers marking the day from inside correctional facilities—away from the people they love most.

That distance is real.

But it does not erase who they are.

They are still mothers—still loving, still guiding, still carrying that connection, even from a place that separates them from it.

And in moments like this, we continue to walk alongside them—with consistency, with care, and with faith.

Reentry is not always a straight line.

For many returning citizens, coming home means navigating housing, employment, relationships, and systems that can feel overwhelming all at once.

This month’s Tuesday Talks will take a closer look at that reality through The Chaos of Reentry: Why It Matters.

Join us on May 12 at 10:00 AM for a conversation on the challenges, dynamics, and opportunities that shape the reentry process.

Today is National Day of Prayer.

Inside correctional facilities, our residents are already taking time to pray.

Wherever you are, take a moment to do the same—for those who are incarcerated, for their families, and for what they’re carrying right now.

If you have a prayer to share, you can send it to us. We’ll carry it with ours.

Maintaining connection while someone is incarcerated is not easy—but it matters more than most people realize.

And this month, we’re bringing these stories a little closer to home.

“I went from wearing a trash bag, into a culinary training program, to now having my own bread show.”

Frank’s story is one of many showing what reentry looks like when people are met with the right support for second chances.
