"Doing Good in the World through Service Above Self." Formed Dec 26, 1971, the Rotary Club of Fairfield serves the Fairfield community and the world.

Club projects include:

- Interact & Rotaract The Rotary Club of Fairfield, established in 1971, has a proud history of serving both the local community and global initiatives. Originally starting with 25 members, we now have around 60-65 dedicated individuals. Our primary fundraiser, "Drawdown," supports various service projects and charities. Our largest initiative is the Annual Christmas Project, where we collaborate with the Fairfield City School System to support families in need. This involves home visits, toy and food discounts from local merchants, and food donations from the Fairfield Food Pantry. Through this project, we assist over 35 families and more than 100 children each Christmas. Promoting literacy is a key focus for Rotary. We offer college scholarships to graduating seniors, recognize a local teacher with an "Educator of the Year" award, and present an Art Award during our spring "Arts Fair." We support many local charities and honor public servants with "Firefighter of the Year" and "Police Officer of the Year" awards. We also sponsor an active Interact club.

Join the Rotary Club of Fairfield this Friday as we welcome Jim Mullaney, founder of Edoc Service, for his presentation, “A Unique Succession.”

Jim started Edoc in 1997 with a vision for building a company where people could work remotely—long before working from home became commonplace. He’ll share his perspective on planning for an organization’s future and continued success.

Tuesday, October 13, is Ada Lovelace Day!

Recognized as the world’s first computer programmer, Ada Lovelace imagined the potential of computing long before modern computers existed. Today, we celebrate her legacy—and the women and girls building the future through science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

That spirit of innovation is a perfect lead-in to this week’s Rotary on the Road! On Friday, October 16, the Rotary Club of Fairfield will visit Butler Tech’s Advanced Manufacturing Hub to see how technology, education and hands-on training are preparing the next generation for advanced-manufacturing careers.

🌳 What does Fairfield’s tree canopy contribute to our community—and how can we protect it for the future?

Join the Rotary Club of Fairfield on Friday, October 9, as we welcome Wendi Van Buren from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Fairfield recently completed an extensive analysis of its public trees. The study examined 7,208 trees and considered their condition, diversity, environmental benefits and future maintenance needs. Together, these trees have an estimated replacement value of nearly $3 million and provide more than $61,000 in annual stormwater, air-quality and carbon benefits.

Wendi will help us understand what the study reveals about Fairfield’s tree canopy and why thoughtful urban forestry matters to the health and resilience of our community.

🍎 Happy World Teachers’ Day!

Today, the Rotary Club of Fairfield celebrates the dedicated teachers and staff of Fairfield City Schools who educate, encourage and inspire our community’s students every day.

Their work extends far beyond the classroom. They help young people discover their strengths, overcome challenges and prepare for bright futures.

We are especially proud to recognize Fairfield City School District Teacher of the Year Corey Simmins, whose commitment represents the extraordinary work happening throughout our schools.

To every Fairfield teacher and staff member: Thank you for the lasting difference you make in the lives of our students, families and community!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

The Rotary Club of Fairfield joins our community in honoring survivors, remembering those we have lost, and supporting everyone affected by breast cancer.

This month is also an important reminder to learn about breast health, understand your personal risk, and speak with your healthcare provider about appropriate screening.

Wear pink, check in on someone you care about, and help share a message of awareness, hope, and support.

Together, we can create lasting impact by supporting one another.
