Happy Birthday to Purple Monkey Project’s Vice President Kevin McDonald !

Today we celebrate an extraordinary man whose impact reaches far beyond any title he holds. As a serial volunteer, Fairfield City Schools Board of Education member, accomplished businessman, devoted husband and dad, dog lover, avid golfer, and trusted friend, he continually gives his time, talents, and heart to others.

He is a man of strong character, a visionary leader, and one of the most genuine people we know. Despite his many accomplishments, he remains remarkably kind and humble—always willing to listen, lend a hand, and put others before himself.

We are incredibly grateful for all he does for Purple Monkey Project and the countless lives he touches along the way.

Kevin, we wish you a very happy birthday and a year filled with happiness, good health, success, and all the blessings you deserve. Thank you for being such an incredible leader, friend, and example to us all.

Earlier this evening we awarded Tyler Mason, Cincinnati Center for Autism, with a Reagan Vanoss Spirit Award. This award is given to a student who demonstrates the joy, kindness and competitive spirit that defined Reagan. Each recipient receives a framed certificate and $500!

From Tyler's teachers: Tyler was selected for this award because he truly embodies the spirit of kindness, joy, and positivity that this recognition represents. He is kind to everyone he meets and it’s evident in the way students are naturally drawn to him, every student who interacts with Tyler wants to be his friend. A few weeks into the school year, Tyler transitioned to a new classroom and he handled that change with a smile and a positive attitude. His ability to adapt so gracefully speaks to his character and resilience. Tyler consistently shows kindness to his classmates, even in moments when others may struggle to do the same. He leads by example, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for those around him. His joyful personality and genuine happiness are contagious, and he regularly brings a smile to the faces of both staff and administration. In addition, Tyler has big goals for his future and is always thinking about ways to achieve them. His motivation, paired with his kindness and uplifting spirit, make him a truly deserving recipient of this award.

We are honored to present Tyler with the very first Reagan Vanoss Spirit Award at Cincinnati Center for Autism.

Purple Monkey Project is proud to partner with Fairfield City Schools to shine a light on the importance of mental health awareness.

Recently, we were proud to sponsor the Teammate of the Game awards during the Girls Lacrosse matchup. Congratulations to Fairfield High School’s Hosana Henson and Princeton's Camarah Carter for being recognized as exceptional teammates both on and off the field!

Thank you to FCSD Athletics and Braiden Heckler for their leadership and commitment to bringing awareness to such an important part of our student-athletes’ lives. Their dedication continues to make a meaningful impact.

Earlier this week we awarded Braiden Heckler, Fairfield Senior High School, with a Reagan Vanoss Spirit Award. This award is given to a student who demonstrates the joy, kindness and competitive spirit that defined Reagan. Each recipient receives a framed certificate and $500!

Braiden has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to student well being through his efforts to bring a comprehensive mental health program, Morgan's Message, to Fairfield High School. His work highlights the importance of mental health awareness and support among student athletes. Braiden has helped create a safe space for open conversations around mental health. He coordinates with local mental health agencies to ensure their presence at sporting events, increasing visibility and access to valuable resources for students and families.

Another great element of this initiative is “Teammates of the Game”. Two athletes from opposing teams are recognized during a game for exceptional leadership and support of mental health awareness. This creates connection and solidarity between athletes beyond competition. Purple Monkey Project is proud to sponsor this initiative.

Braiden was nominated after recognizing the meaningful and lasting impact of this work. His dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for student athletes makes him a truly deserving recipient.

We are honored to present Braiden Heckler with the Reagan Vanoss Spirit Award.

Pictured with Braiden are Kevin McDonald and Jami Snodgrass.
