Today, we proudly celebrate Festa della Repubblica, Italy’s Republic Day.

On June 2, 1946, the Italian people voted to establish the Italian Republic, marking a new chapter in Italy’s history built on democracy, resilience, and national unity.

For Italian Americans, this day is an opportunity to celebrate our connection to Italy and to honor the democratic ideals, sacrifices, and enduring spirit that have shaped both our ancestral homeland and the communities we have built across generations.
