Whitetulip Health Foundation (WHF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that connects healthcare professionals who want to give back to society. Its aim is to create a platform, where they can share ideas and experiences, provide mutual support and collaborate, channel their own personal passions and skills in community projects both locally and abroad. Two words (white and tulip) makes the name of our organization symbolizes the healthcare profession and purity and humility in our efforts

Objectives and Core Values

We remain true to our mission by pursuing the following goals:
1) To provide current and aspiring healthcare professionals with academic development opportunities.
2) To create a network of healthcare professionals who are committed to giving back to society.
3) To create health education projects for the communities we serve, particularly targeting those who are underserved.
4) To reach out to communities abroad, afflicted by conflicts, war, or disasters, through relief work and healthcare development projects.
5) To acknowledge and share exemplary work in community service in health with the rest of the healthcare community and the public. In order to carry out its vision, WHF is committed to follow the following values:

Whitetulip Health Foundation and MARTI (Maryland Turkish American Inhabitants) are hosting an evening of gratitude, good food, and conversation. Come meet colleagues, catch up with old friends, and make a few new ones before the holiday season gets busy.

Supporting community health in Central Jersey! 💙

On Sunday, October 11, we hosted our Free Community Health Screening. An oncologist conducted cancer screenings, and a physical therapist conducted scoliosis screenings. Specialists in family medicine, emergency medicine, and neurology reviewed the other screening results.

Our pre-med student volunteers helped support the event, and participants received brochures about our High School Student Zone and Free Clinic programs.

Thank you to all our healthcare professionals and student volunteers for their time, expertise, and dedication!

Dear younger me… we actually did it. 🩺

Every doctor starts as a kid with a big dream. At Whitetulip Health Foundation’s Future of Medicine program, high school students put on the white coat and train hands-on with real physicians and mentors.
And the doctors they’ll become will care for real patients. Our Whitetulip Free Medical Clinics already provide free primary care in New Jersey and Maryland, and 3 new locations are opening very soon. Stay tuned. 👀

Columbia, Penn and Wharton students share their best advice for future pre-meds 🎓

At our 2nd Annual Pre-Health Convention at Rutgers University, we asked three college students one question: what would you tell high schoolers who want to go pre-med?

✨ „Take the time to discover which major is most suitable to you. Your path doesn’t have to fit the textbook path.“
✨ „Have a life outside of classes. Hang out with your friends and have hobbies outside of school.“

“There’s a myth that asking for help is a problem.”

Dr. Copeland shares what she appreciated most at our Pre-Health Convention: committed mentors, faculty from medical schools across different states and students who came ready with great questions.

Her advice: build the skill of self-reflection. Know where you are, where you want to go and when it’s time to ask for help.

Mariam, a sophomore at MIT studying biological engineering and a pre-med student, presented her research at our poster session. Her work in a computational biology lab focuses on endometriosis, an understudied women’s health issue.

Ebrar Zeynep Yilmaz, a third-year dental student at Harvard University , joined our Pre-Health Convention for the second year in a row. Her advice for students who want to go into pre-dental: be proactive, ask for help and keep in touch with the people who believe in your goals.
