What a great week for SevaTruck! 🚚
This past week, we attended Back-to-School and School Readiness events across Fairfax County, served meals for an end-of-summer soccer camp, and continued serving our regular community partners.
We’re grateful to be part of so many programs that bring our community together and help families and children start the school year strong.

It's been a busy a summer at SevaTruck, and none of it would have been possible without our incredible volunteers!

This summer, we were proud to support:
• English Empowerment Center ESOL Summer Programs
• Jim Scott Community Center Summer Programs
• Braddock Elementary School Summer School
• Culmore Soccer Camp
• Annandale Mission Center (AMC), through their special summer program serving families and community organizations.
• So What Else Summer School Programs

At AMC, we were honored to support a program that brought families together around a community garden, providing fresh produce, meaningful volunteer opportunities, and a therapeutic space for families who have experienced trauma.

Every meal served, every volunteer shift, and every act of kindness helped make this summer unforgettable. To every volunteer who showed up with a smile and a willingness to serve, thank you. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on the lives of so many.

We're not slowing down! Our regular meal service schedule will be back soon, and we look forward to continuing to serve our community together.

As we prepare for our final week of meal service in Fairfax County schools, we are filled with gratitude for the teachers, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners who have made this school year so special.

While our school-based programs are wrapping up, SevaTruck's work continues. Throughout the summer, we will keep serving children, families, seniors, and neighbors through community partnerships, summer camps, special meal deliveries, and other outreach programs across our region.

As schools close for summer break, many children lose access to the meals they rely on during the school year. While classrooms may be empty, hunger doesn't take a vacation.

At SevaTruck , our kitchen and food truck continue serving nutritious meals to children throughout the summer months, ensuring that kids can count on a warm meal when they need it most.

Another beautiful week at SevaTruck and a very special milestone for us.

This week, we wrapped up our weekly service at Howard Community College in partnership with the Rajiv & Hima Foundation for the 2025–2026 school year. Since September 2025, we’ve had the privilege of serving the students, and it has truly been such a meaningful journey.

Seeing familiar faces every week, sharing meals, conversations, and support reminds us why community matters so much.

And of course, none of this happens without our incredible volunteers Mini Aneja, Miu Lin Edson, and Pooja Baheti.

Thank you for continuously showing up with love, energy, and servant hearts.

So grateful for everyone who helps make SevaTruck possible week after week.

A special thank you to Mini, one of our incredible SevaTruck volunteers, for her continuous kindness and dedication to the community we serve. Mini not only spends countless hours volunteering in the kitchen helping prep meals, but she also goes above and beyond by cooking special meals to celebrate family birthdays and anniversaries and donating in-kind goods to the families and children we serve.

This time, Mini prepared 300 beautiful stems of roses with chocolates and gave them to the students at Braddock Elementary School so they could have something special to gift their mothers for Mother’s Day. Such a thoughtful gesture that brought so much joy and love to our community.

Thank you, Mini, for always leading with compassion and generosity!
