Thank you to everyone who joined us for Volunteer Weekend! With your help, we prepped and seeded the Northwest restoration area. Thanks to the members of the Fair Haven Fields Natural Area Committee and to the DPW employees who all worked so hard this weekend!

Volunteer Weekend Day 1. Volunteers removed invasive weeds and raked the restoration area. And for the big finale, they lined up and hand-seeded one quarter of the area. Join us tomorrow 4/19, 10am-1pm, for Day 2. Meet at the cell tower.

Help us continue to restore the area by the cell tower. What was once a mess of fallen trees and thorny invasive vines has been cleared, and this weekend we will rake the area and seed it with a cover crop and native perennial grasses.

From the Fair Haven Fields Natural Area Advisory Committee: This is last minute, apologies. We thought this had been announced and discovered late that it hadn't.

We have arranged for Robert Fanning, a bird expert from Monmouth County Parks, to do a bird walk in the Natural Area tomorrow 2/13. His services are free. Details are attached.

If you can make it, meet at the Natural Area's Ridge Road parking lot at 10 am tomorrow Fri 2/13. The trails will still have snow on them, so wear your boots.
