A few weeks ago 7 year-old Brady Waltz, Son of former PBA President and current FHPD Corporal and Middletown Fire Chief John Waltz was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). After finding extremely high levels of his white blood cell count, Brady was rushed to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he endured over a week of intensive chemotherapy treatments. The PBA is thrilled to report that Brady is finally home with his family.
Brady will be undergoing 9 months of intensive treatments followed by at least two years of maintenance treatments. His amazing parents, Amy and John Waltz and fantastic big brother Carter, have been by his side aiding him in his valiant fight against ALL. I am very happy to say that Brady’s treatment has been highly effective.
I would also like to say that Brady’s determination and humor through all of this has been nothing short of inspiring to us all. For those that haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Brady Waltz - you are missing out. Brady’s humor has been known to have grown men crying with laughter. His communication skills with adults is a rarity in this day and age. He is compassionate, thoughtful and the kindest kid you could meet. You also haven’t met a tougher or more strong-willed 7 year old. Brady is going to be successful in life and athletics.
Brady and his family, however have a long road ahead fighting this disease and in order to assist the Waltz family the Fair Haven PBA needs your support.
Below are links to assist the Waltz family with meals or donations that will be used to assist the family on the long road ahead. I humbly ask for your help. This boy deserves it.
