Reason 3 to join PTA: GIVE BACK

Giving happens in lots of different ways. Maybe you share your time or ideas. Maybe you make a donation or you bring a batch of cookies to appreciate teachers at parent teacher conferences. Maybe you volunteer at an event when your work schedule allows. PTA is a great way to give back to a community that supports your child every day.

Reason 2 to join the PTA: ADVOCATE

PTA is a place to bring ideas for programs and activities that help students, staff, and families thrive. PTA members can advocate for students at Emerson, as well as on the state and national levels. When you join, you lend your voice to the mission. Our 123 Andrés concert (pictured here), Ridwell recycling drive, Share Fest event, and much more happened BECAUSE members brought these ideas to PTA.

We have a calendar! ¡Tenemos un calendario escolar! Sharing this message from the district:

"The first day of school for grades 1-12 is Wednesday, September 2, 2026, and the first day of preschool and kindergarten is Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

On August 26, the Everett Education Association (EEA) voted to ratify their contract, which includes the proposed student calendar. The final step in the process is for the school board to vote on the EEA contract, which will take place during the September 8 regular school board meeting."

It's time to join the PTA! We have an amazing school community at Emerson, and we hope you will join us to connect, advocate, volunteer, or stay informed. There are many ways to PTA!

All families, staff and community members are welcome to join our PTA. Your membership helps strengthen our school and community and gives you a voice in your child's school. Last year, PTA was able to coordinate and/or fund many amazing programs, including movie nights, field trips, assemblies, spirit gear, and staff appreciation. Your membership will support projects like these and others in the coming school year.
