With the incredible teamwork of TriBraining's Marilyn Price, Liz McChesney of the Laundry Literacy Program, Sheriff Ron Howard of the Cook County Department of Corrections (CCDOC), Professor David Gatchell of Northwestern University's School of Engineering and in particular the Segal Design School internship program with seven quite remarkable and immensely talented engineering students, this stage was built for families of incarcerated individuals and will be placed in the visitation center of the CCDOC. So many steps led to this creation which are too numerous to list but know that the research, details of building, visits to see both the site and other stages, and a session in puppet making were all part of the mix. It was in every way a true collaboration.

Part of the stage will be placed in the waiting room at CCDOC in an area known as Becca's Place dedicated to the vision of a Chicago public librarian as a gift to her memory.
