If you are unable to attend or would rather do the 5K In My Slippers option to support Envision from afar, that is great, the registration form offers this option as another fun way to support! Check-in and same-day registration will be available starting at 7:00 AM and the race begins at 8:30 AM.

Not everyone dreams of running a 5K, and that’s exactly why 5K In My Shoes offers a 1K Run, Walk, and Roll option. Whether you’re attending with young children, using mobility supports, trying your first organized event, or simply looking for a shorter distance, the 1K allows everyone to experience the excitement, energy, and community spirit that make 5K In My Shoes so special. Every step taken on the course helps advance the message that everyone belongs and deserves opportunities to be included in their community. Registered 1K participants will also receive this year’s commemorative 12th Annual 5K In My Shoes race t shirt.

Ready… set… step! The Step Challenge runs alongside our 5K In My Shoes event, building momentum as we walk (or dance, or wheel!) toward connection, inclusion, and a healthier community. The 5K In My Shoes Step Challenge is a fun and friendly competition open to Envision staff, family, friends, people supported, and partners! New this year we are adding in a Sock & Shoe Drive that will benefit children in need at District 6! Please bring NEW socks youth sizes 12-4 and adult sizes 6-9 as well as gently used or new shoes. There will be a collection bin at Envision during the race on June 6th that will be set up from 7:00am until 10:30am, where you can add your donated items.

This event brings together individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, community members, businesses, service providers, and supporters for a morning focused on connection, inclusion, and belonging. Whether you cross the finish line first, stroll the course with friends, cheer from the sidelines, or participate virtually through our 5K In My Slippers option, every person helps create a stronger and more welcoming community. The 5K In My Shoes is this Saturday! Unable to join in person? No Problem. Join Virtually by registering for the “5K Where You Live” or “5K In My Slippers” options!!
There are so many fun ways to show support. There is even a sock and shoe drive you may contribute to. We are accepting NEW socks youth sizes 12-4 and adult sizes 6-9 as well as gently used or new shoes that will be donated to District 6! Your donation can help ensure that more students quite literally have the opportunity to walk forward with dignity.
