The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps low-income families in Colorado afford childcare so they can work, go to school, or job search.

But right now:
➡️ Weld County is NOT accepting new families
➡️ New applicants are placed on a waitlist with no timeline

This means many single moms who are ready to work…
simply can’t access the childcare they need to do it.

Genesis used to count on the fact that our participants would have access to CCAP so they could take our classes, go to school and/or work.

That's no longer the case.

As a result, we added $30,000 to our budget in 2026 to pay for childcare.

That number is only going to grow.

This Sunday, please keep our participants in your prayers. This has been a rough month as individuals have had to navigate family deaths, health issues, job insecurity, and lack of childcare, all while pursuing a new beginning for their family.

It's hard not to get discouraged when the path forward has so many obstacles.

Without stable housing, childcare becomes even harder to secure and maintain.

And without childcare, steady employment is nearly impossible.

Not all housing instability is visible.

Many families in Greeley are doubled up, living with friends, staying in motels, or moving frequently just to stay off the streets.

Affordable housing provides dignity, privacy, and stability.

Families at Genesis can stay in a fully furnished one-bedroom or studio apartment for several years while they heal, gain education, and reenter the workforce.

All for $200/mo.
