As the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in DFW is fast approaching, you’re probably hearing about the intersectionality of the World Cup and s*x trafficking. Some of that talk is true, some isn’t, but most of it (in our opinion) is coming from people with good intentions, trying to make sense of and be prepared for what is about to unfold in DFW as 4 million visitors head to North Texas this summer.

As an organization with boots on the ground in DFW for over 10 years (and internationally prior to that), we wanted to join the conversation in hopes of providing you with basic truth through which you can filter all other information. If you want to know the non-sensationalized truth, https://www.rescueher.org/world-cup is the best place to start.

KAMIAH — When Pat Hunter heard a news report of human trafficking not far from her home in the Pacific Northwest, she was shocked.

Last night, we spent the evening with some of our volunteer mentors reflecting on 2025 and dreaming about what’s to come in 2026! 🤍

Our volunteer mentors are such a vital piece of the services we offer to the survivors we serve. Because trafficking often happens due to broken relationships, the sole role of our mentors is to walk alongside the women we serve to restore and rebuild healthy relationships.

Reflecting and dreaming with some of our key volunteers made us so excited to spend the evening with you in a few weeks at CELEBRATE! We cannot wait to share more about what’s to come here at Rescue Her! There is still time to purchase tickets, host a table, or sponsor. https://www.rescueher.org/celebrate

P.S. thinking of sponsorship? We are still needing an Appetizer + Dessert sponsor, along with a few others! Visit https://www.rescueher.org/celebrate to learn more about our sponsorship opportunities.

It’s CELEBRATE! month, and you are invited to join us on March 26th! 🥳

This is an evening to come and learn more about Rescue Her, and how we empower survivors of s*x trafficking to live in freedom right here in DFW. It’s a set apart time where we get to celebrate what the Lord has done in 2025, while also casting vision for the years to come.

Your ticket includes dinner, appetizers and dessert, refreshments, photos at the photo booth, annual presentation of Beacon Award, and access to the entire event (music, guest speakers, and interactive experiences).

We have options to purchase individual tickets, host a table, or to sponsor different portions of the evening! Click the link in our bio for details and tickets!

Right now, the majority of survivors we are currently serving are mamas. Sometimes advocacy looks like playing board games with their kiddos so mom can go to a difficult appointment that will help her reach her goals.

We say this all the time, but it is an honor to be invited into the families of the survivors we serve. Because of this unique opportunity, we aren’t only able to empower survivors to live in freedom, but we are empowering families and children to live in freedom as well 🤍
