About Us:
Kultura Pilipinas (KP) is University of Oregon’s official Filipino student organization. Some of our main events include: Fiesta for Change, NWFASA Conference, and Pilipino Culture Night. KP welcomes anyone, regardless of ethnicity, who wishes to interact with the Filipino community and learn about its culture and heritage. Mission:
Kultura Pilipinas is a student organization that acts as a solid foundation and social forum for people of Filipino descent and people who aim to learn Filipino culture and heritage. KP strives to represent the interests of Filipino and Filipino American students at the University of Oregon through cultural diversity, education, community outreach, and social interactions. Goals:
Kultura Pilipinas will work to establish a secure foundation for its present and future members by creating a support network and a sense of community. KP will also work with other University of Oregon student unions, the permanent community of Eugene/Springfield and the Northwest Filipino American Student Alliance to promote diversity and to increase awareness of cultural and social justice issues. KP will aim to inspire its members to become future leaders to foster growth in and out of the community. Links:
