Bluestone AOH An Irish Catholic Fraternal organization focused on community service and helping those most in need in our immediate surroundings and beyond.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians is America’s oldest Irish Catholic Fraternal Organization founded concurrently in the coal-mining region of Pennsylvania and New York City in May,1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a series of similar societies that existed in Ireland for more than 300 years before the founding of the AOH in America. Today, the AOH exists in America, Canada, Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland. Hibernian organizations in all these locales share a common thread, however, the American AOH is a separate and considerably larger organization.

The Cleveland Irish community and we at the Bluestone AOH lost a great man and brother this week; founding member William "Bill" Homan. Bill was integral in the formation of the Bluestone AOH division and a cornerstone in its success. He will be dearly missed.

Safe home, Bill, until we meet again.

View William Charles Homan's obituary, send flowers and sign the guestbook.
