Earlier this year, we joined CSU San Marcos Fraternity & Sorority Life for their annual awards ceremony. This year was extra special, as they were celebrating 30 years of Greek Life on campus! It was our absolute honor to present our award for philanthropy and community service, the Virginia "Ginny" Philp award. Ginny was a past president and crucial member of EAP. She was incredibly passionate about Greek Life, and was instrumental in establishing it at CSUSM 30 years ago. As a sister of Alpha Xi Delta, she also helped make Alpha Xi Delta, Cal State San Marcosโ Theta Rho chapter and local alumnae association what they are today. After she passed away in 2017, we named our award after her as a way to honor her legacy and the impact she has made. This year, we were incredibly proud to present the Virginia Philp award to a Panhellenic sorority that has gone above and beyond by not only fundraising for their national philanthropy, but also promoting awareness and education around other important issues. This sorority has also made an impact by supporting and serving the community and campus in various other ways. Congratulations, Alpha Omicron Pi, Cal State San Marcos!
