๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ป: ๐พ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐๐ง 2โ A Little More Comfortable ๐
When Haven arrived, her tiny body had already been through more than any kitten should ever have to endure. After surviving a dog attack, she faced a concussion, eye injury, fractured leg, and unimaginable pain.
The past few days have been difficult. Despite everything, she has continued to fight.
Havenโs foster mom advocated for additional pain management after seeing how uncomfortable she still was. Thankfully, our veterinarian agreed- they have been so incredibly supportive of Haven and her needs!
For the first time since coming into our care, Haven slept through the night and didnโt wake crying.
It may sound like a small thing, but for a kitten who has been hurting, it felt like a huge victory.
Sheโs not out of the woods yet. The pain and trauma have made eating a challenge, and sheโs currently relying on syringe feedings to help keep her strength up while her body focuses on healing.
But today, as she curled up with her little Lambchop and finally rested peacefully, we were reminded that healing doesnโt always happen in giant leaps. Sometimes it happens one comfortable nap, one meal, and one good night of sleep at a time.
