It's bittersweet... tonight, we host our last three Mentoring Circles for the season in Budgeting, Maternal Wellbeing, and Diverse Friendships. We couldn't be more proud of this accomplishment for the 53 Moms who learned, led, and grew through nine months of commitment and the Mentors, speakers, donors, and community partners who walked alongside them every step of the way.

Special thanks to Marquette Savings Bank and OpenedEyes who attended every single educational session. Together, we have built something extraordinary beyond Moms Night Out for Mothering women who truly desire to transform for themselves and their families--and not one, but TWO GENERATIONS and more to come will effect change in our schools, neighborhoods, businesses, churches, and the local economy.

Bright Futures gives young people the opportunity to gain real-world work experience, build valuable skills, earn a paycheck, and explore future career paths while making a positive impact in our community.

Last week we hosted two incredible events, starting with our annual 💐Mother’s Day🌹celebration on Monday, May 4.

More than 70 Moms and mentors, 90 kids, and 25 volunteers gathered at the Boys & Girls Club of Erie for free dinner, child care, stories of hope and healing, loving community, and the sweetest of gifts.

Moms heard from guest speaker Margaret "Peggy" Boyd, DNP, CNM, midwife,and nurse from Ob/gyn Associates of Erie who urged us to proactively care for our heart, brain, emotional, and reproductive health—an act of self-love today and for our future 💝

After dinner, kids 0-16 laughed, learned, and played with our friends from Emily Wachter Early Intervention and Support Services, expERIEnce Children's Museum, and Youth for Christ. They also made take-home crafts and cards for their Mother Figures—a huge hit that brought big smiles and even some tears.

We will celebrate our final Mother Matters Mentoring Circle in June and then we are off to a summer packed with exciting meetups and play dates!
