We are proud to announce our partnership with Boulder Housing Partners ( BHP ) to expand access to culturally rich soccer and youth development programming for families across our communities.

Through this partnership, youth will have greater opportunities to participate in affordable and inclusive soccer training, cultural arts experiences, mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement programs designed to empower the next generation both on and off the field.

At Kick2Build, we believe soccer is more than a game — it is a powerful tool to build confidence, connection, culture, and community. Together with Boulder Housing Partners, we are committed to reducing participation barriers and creating safe, welcoming spaces where every child can thrive regardless of background or financial circumstances.

This collaboration represents an important step toward building stronger communities through sport, culture, education, and opportunity for all.

Asempa program culminates in live school performances and cultural showcases, where students present what they’ve learned to peers, families, and the wider community. These events are more than performances—they are celebrations of identity, unity, and artistic expression. They also serve as powerful tools for community engagement and can be leveraged as fundraising opportunities to support school programs and initiatives like Kick2Build.

Beyond performance, Asempa instills lasting values. Students leave the program with:

Asempa African Cultural Arts in Schools

Our Asempa Cultural Arts workshops is a dynamic, community-centered initiative designed to bring culture, creativity, and identity into the heart of school environments. Rooted in African heritage and global cultural expression, the program creates a platform where students don’t just learn about culture—they actively experience, perform, and embody it.

At its core, Asempa focuses on performance-based learning. Students are introduced to traditional and contemporary African music, dance, storytelling, and drumming. Through structured rehearsals and interactive workshops, they develop artistic skills while also building confidence, discipline, and teamwork. The program transforms classrooms into vibrant cultural spaces where creativity thrives and every student has a voice.

A key strength of the Asempa program is its educational integration. It aligns cultural arts with broader learning outcomes—enhancing students’ understanding of history, geography, language, and social identity. By engaging with diverse cultural narratives, students gain a deeper appreciation for global perspectives and inclusivity.

🌻 We’re bringing back 2 whole separate powerful weeks of endless, fun-filled programming designed to energize, inspire, and empower our youth. From morning warm-ups led by live drums, to multi-sport activities, and creative afternoon workshops hosted by local artists and community leaders—Camp Wawa is an experience your child will never forget.

⚽🏀 What to Expect
• High-energy drum-led warm-ups
• Multi-sports training & daily scrimmages
• Campers vs. counselors & coaches games
• Cultural arts & creative workshops
• End-of-week music and dance performances by campers
• Building lifelong friendships, teamwork, confidence, and community support

• Session 1: June 1 – 5 (Monday–Friday)
• Session 2: August 3 – 7 (Monday–Friday)

Our Kick2Build Cultural Group performed in celebration, honoring Black excellence, history, and culture through powerful movement and expression.
