Thank you to all the survivors of breast cancer, and their family and friends, who came out for this morning's Miles for Mammograms event. We had a crowd double the size of last year, so it was a success! Thank you to the event's sponsor, Chief Joseph Days & their Tough Enough to Wear Pink director Teah Jones. Wallowa Memorial Hospital donated the water, coffee and refreshments. The Foundation supported as well, so a great collaboration all around!

Since 2018, the Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation and Wallowa Memorial Hospital have joined with Chief Joseph Days and their Tough Enough to Wear Pink team to sponsor Miles for Mammograms. This fun walk designed to raise money and awareness for the importance of early detection, brings all walks of life together to honor those who have dealt with breast cancer. Proceeds are donated to the hospital for local low-income women to receive free mammograms. Join us this Thursday morning at the Thunder Room, adjacent to the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena, just west of Main Street in Joseph. Walk begins at 9:00 am. Registration is open!
