A special thank you to Ryan Graber with Precision Ag Drones for leading a drone spraying demonstration at our fundraiser this year!

The demonstration provided an informative look at the future of w**d management and the potential role of drone technology in targeted spraying. Following Ryan’s flight and mock spraying demonstration using water, Clayton Marxer with the County W**d Board shared his expertise during an open Q&A, giving attendees an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about this emerging technology.

Drones are an excellent tool for Mapping and Monitoring.

Multispectral imaging: Drones can capture high-resolution and near-infrared data to find small, hidden w**d patches early.

GPS geotagging: Create exact digital shapefiles and prescription maps to track infestation growth over time.

Large-scale surveys: Scan hundreds of acres in a fraction of the time required by ground crews.

Extensive drone work has been done in Lake County to find and map the EDRR plant rush skeletonw**d, a plant notoriously hard to identify.
