GROWW Program

GROWW Program GROWW is an educational program unique for students in Ennis Schools. It stands for "Gardens, Resour Response was robust and exciting!

In 2010, Madison Farm to Fork and Madison Conservation District began engaging students, teachers and the community in gardening, nutrition, agriculture, and watershed projects using AmeriCorps service members. The flagship of the program continues to be the beautiful school garden, built by the students and community. The garden serves as an ideal outdoor classroom for science, Native American st

udies, nutrition lessons, and service projects. In 2015, groups stepped up to fund the effort on a more permanent basis as the Garden, Resources, Outdoors, Wildlife, and Watershed (GROWW) Program. The GROWW Program is successfully working to its fullest capacity, and is ready to expand with your help!

Just some pictures from Worm and Soils Week, Native Pollinator week and Wildlife tracking Week. Garden reconstruction is underway now as we replace 14 year old wood frame beds with new galvanized beds. Students will help out moving plants, soil and straw. A good way to be outside these last 2 weeks of school when its hard to sit still in the classroom🤩
