Join us at the Montana CattleWomen Mid Year Meetings on June 12th and 13th in Miles City, MT! 🐂

We’ll have our mid-year business meeting of course, but also some serious fun looped in. It’s a great way to connect with fellow CattleWomen across the state! And don’t worry, you don’t have to have cows to be a member of either our local association or the state association. We only ask that you have a passion for agriculture in one way or another! 🌾

Check out the schedule for all of the details. It’s sure to be a fun one! Reach out to us via DMs or email if you’re interested in attending and we’ll get you the registration information!

The MCCW had such a blast at our last Coffee & Cowtalk where we created wool dryer balls!

It was so fun to spend time with some of our members outside of a meeting setting and to also meet a few new faces. We also had a special guest mascot for the day🐑 — make sure you scroll through the photos to see who it was! 😏 Thank you to Sure Shot Coffee Co in Ennis for allowing us to use their beautiful space and a special thank you to Courtney, our VP, for donating the wool for this event!

We hope you’ll consider joining us for our next one! ☕️🐮

The MCCW had a blast celebrating National Ag Day with the kids at Twin Bridges School on Tuesday! 🌾

Erika, Marcie, and Rebekah read a fun story, “Kindergarten Rancher,” to the 2–4th grade classes, which is all about cows and why it’s important to go to school, even if you want to be a rancher! We had a fun Q&A session with all kinds of beef facts. The kids had fun guessing things like how many gallons of water a cow drinks per day and how many hours a day a cow spends chewing their cud. 🐮

We then had the opportunity to discuss the importance of agriculture and talk about beef cuts with the 5–8th grade classes, with the help of “Chip” (a butcher beef cut model)! 🐂 It was so fun to watch the kids learn where their steaks and roasts come from. The kids even got to come up and work on taking Chip apart themselves.

We also had all kinds of goodies from informational brochures to “Eat Beef” pencils to hand out to the kids thanks to Montana CattleWomen and Beef Council. We even had a bundle of agriculturally focused books (that come with lesson plans) to gift to the teachers!

A special thank you to Twin Bridges School District #7, their staff, and their teachers for letting us come visit and teach the kids all about cows and beef! 🥩
