Wow! Citizen Redefined Camp reminded us that citizenship is activated when we connect, ask hard questions, and most importantly, make the choice to keep showing up for one another.

We watched student leaders from seven NC campuses challenge themselves to define what "citizenship" means (on their own terms) by diving into the stories that shape them, the morals that guide them, and their pathways to making an impact on their communities.

There was so much thoughtfulness, joy, and courage in the room all week long!

NCCE Campuses in Action!📣 During Constitution Day, student leaders from the Student Government Association at Durham Technical Community College hosted a nonpartisan civic engagement initiative focused on voter education and rights!

In partnership with , students shared accessible resources in English and Spanish to help demystify the voting process and empower their campus community to exercise their rights and responsibilities as voters. Way to go Durham Tech!

Davidson College is "building democracy, one conversation at a time" with the Deliberative Citizenship Initiative!

The Deliberative Citizenship Initiative (DCI) is dedicated to creating opportunities for Davidson students, faculty, staff, and members of the wider community to productively engage with one another on difficult and contentious issues facing our community and society.

DCI teaches deliberative skills and and builds meaningful community through events, programs, and training, including empowering students to lead the conversation through the DCI Fellows and Deliberative “D” Teams.
