Our Refined Expression Ambassadors showed up and showed out at A Weekend of Refinement 2026.

They all volunteered at the Film Festival on Friday. But, on Saturday they all not only volunteered but they also took to the stage during Refining the Mind. They presented to the participants and entertained as well. REA Kennedy also introduced us to one of our new favorite songs (it's playing in the post).

We are so excited to support them as they grow in the arts and continue to find new ways to use the to keep their minds refined.

You can support, too (see the last slide).

It's always one of our favorite moments of the conference day...the group picture.

There is something special about bringing everyone who affected the experience together. Master photographer, THE Toni Shaw, always knows exactly what to do to make sure the joy, connections, and refinement is captured and documented in the moment.

Already excited to see who will be a part of the picture next year.

12 years have taught and reminded us that Refining the Mind would not be possible without support.

We would like to thank ALL of our sponsors, businesses and individuals, who made this experience possible. We do not take your generosity for granted.

It Happened...A Weekend of Refinement.

Friday Night - Refined Vision Film Festival
Staff counted 68 people. For our inaugural event, we count that as INCREDIBLE! The feedback is fabulous. So, yes, expect Season Two.

Saturday - Refining the Mind (Year 12)
Staff counted 95 people. This is our highest attendance number in history. We know that every person who was present for any amount of time was purposed to be there. The time and the atmosphere were unsurpassed...CLOCK IT!

Immense gratitude to every attendee, speaker, Vendor, volunteer, performer, donor, sponsor, and every person who had any hand in making this happen. A HUGE Thank You to Hayti Heritage Center for housing the unhoused event and helping us grow a new one (story coming).

We are so grateful for all that transpired and are hopeful for what is to come.

Get ready for all the posts over the coming weeks.
Sharing is caring...right?!?
