Siggy D Updates:
-A big congratulations to Bro. Carl Hairston (FALL ‘08) on receiving the EBAN Distinguished Young Alumni Award earlier this month. He had the pleasure of being honored during this years Elon Homecoming Celebration among many other brothers.
-This past weekend Bro. Zeth Dixon (SPR ‘22) had the opportunity to attend the 61st ANCA District Conference in Gastonia, NC. Here he also had the pleasure of meeting the 35th General President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, Bro. Everett B. Ward.

This year, the brothers of the Sigma Delta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. were honored to receive seven awards from Elon University for their endeavors throughout the 2021-2022 academic year.

At the Leo Lambert SGA Awards, the chapter received the McBride Community Involvement Award and the Student Organization of the Year. Bro. Ethan Porter received the Student Organization Officer of the Year award for his service as Chapter President.

At the Black Excellence Awards, Bro. Zeth Dixon was awarded the Gold Group Recognition for his high scholastic performance as quantified by his GPA.

Most recently, the chapter received three recognitions at the FSC Greek Awards. The chapter won the Inter-Council Engagement award as well as Chapter of the Year. Bro. Porter received NPHC Member of the year.

Thank you to all of the alumni, advisors, faculty and staff that made this possible. Thank you to the Elon community for engaging and supporting us this year.

Onward and upward to the light of Alpha.

On his first day on the yard, Bro. Porter and Bro. Dixon spoke about the fraternity to students at the Newly Admitted Students event. Bro. Dixon is already doing the work of Alpha!
