Our mission is to inspire stewardship and community through outdoor environmental education.

The Fair Hill Environmental Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 organization located within the state owned and operated Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area. Our mission is to connect children and adults to the wonders of our land, water and wildlife by educating about, engaging with, and exploring our local natural resources. We host field trips aligned to state education standards, evening and weekend events for people of all ages, and summer camps for children 5-12. We also rent our facility as a venue for birthday parties and gatherings.

What a day at the Nature Center! We were excited to host Maryland Envirothon yesterday, welcoming high school students from Cecil County Public Schools to Fair Hill.

Teams spent the day outdoors putting their environmental knowledge to the test. It was inspiring to see so many young people who care about our land, water and wildlife.

Thank you to all the students, teachers and volunteers who made today possible.

📣 Heads up, friends! Fair Hill Nature Center will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 24 for a private event.

We’ll be back open Sunday, Oct. 25 from 10am to 3pm. Come on out for a fall walk on our story trail or to visit our animal ambassadors. We’d love to see you!
