Want to become a part of a greater mission through horses by giving your time and skills? If you would like to volunteer at Eagle's Nest Ranch, we invite you to attend our Volunteer Orientation Training and Horsemanship 101 Class. The first two hours will be Orientation, for those who'd like to volunteer at the ranch, but have not gone through the required training. The second two hours will cover horsemanship. If you have already attended orientation and would like to only attend the second half, you are welcome to arrive at 2:00 pm.

Become a part of a greater mission through horses by giving your time and skills. If you would like to volunteer on a regular basis at Eagle's Nest Ranch, we invite you to attend our Volunteer Orientation Class. There is a class fee, and we ask that you bring the money with you when you attend class. The $25 class fee covers the cost of a background check for all adult volunteers. Volunteers ages 14-17 pay $15 and are accepted on a trial basis. We have volunteer opportunities at the Ranch and ways to serve off-site as well with our Go Teams. Whether you help with caring for the horses, ranch maintenance, administrative tasks or special events, every task is important and appreciated.

The Aurora PD is having their Annual Picnic, and we will be taking the Pony Patrol as well as having a booth. This is a great opportunity for us to show how we care for our police officers and their families on the ranch. The event is being held on Saturday, August 15th, from 9 am  - 1 pm.

Our ponies, Hope and Emmy, were on Patrol today at the Aurora PD family picnic. We were glad to be there for the law enforcement families.. This event wouldn't have happened without the support of our volunteers.

We are thrilled to have Suzy Rogers Stanfill, founder and Executive Director of Eagle's Nest Ranch - Colorado BACK at the 2026 International Ranch Ministry Conference and Fellowship to speak and share!!

Suzy will be presenting the session called:

“Serving Veterans and First Responders Through An Equine Ministry” on Saturday September 26 as part of the Main Conference.

This session will cover the “ins and outs” of starting and operating a ministry to serve our nation's heroes. Main topics covered include outreach, facility use, staffing, knowledge base, creating a community, and session structure.

We are honored to have you with us Suzy and look forward to you sharing your wisdom and experience with others who seek to serve those who serve!

With several wildfires happening in Colorado and the drought we have been in this year AND the fact that the ranch is located in what is called the Black Forest, the possibility of wildfire is high on our radar. Having 11 equines on the property makes for concern. We do have a fire evacuation plan in place listing friends with trucks and those who live not too far with trailers. Our horses rarely are trailered anywhere, so knowing they will load in an emergency is of utmost importance. Today, was a trailer loading practice day with our stock trailer which is new to the horses. It was so rewarding to see the 9 horses who have never been in that trailer before, go in without much hesitation. We do ask for prayer for all the firefighters still fighting the fires, as well as for protection. We are also grateful to those who donate to the ranch, which made it possible for us to make the purchase of this trailer. Here are photos of Gideon, Gunny, Zion, Chip and Brave who practiced loading along with the other 4 horses who are not pictured.
