Washington Leadership Conference Day 1 had two on a plane for the first time and metro rides for all. We visited the Holocaust Museum and the Museum of Natural History. Today more adventure before heading to the WLC hotel.

Seven of our chapter officers participated in the LEAD conference today in Sedalia to develop skills needed to lead in the coming year. They are excited to put these skills to use serving the FFA chapter!

Day 3 took us to Baylor University and the Magnolia Silos.

Our adventures today took us to the Texas Rangers Stadium in Arlington and the Dr. Pepper museum in Waco. Members took advantage of some ice cold refreshments at the museum to cool off in this Texas heat!

Tomorrow we will tour Baylor University, the Silos at Magnolia and downtown Waco.

Top 30 is taking on Texas! Yesterday included the Ft. Worth Stockyards and some fun pool time. Today, we take on Globe Life Stadium, where the Rangers play, and then on to Waco for the Dr. Pepper Museum.

Our Ag Science 1 and 2 classes  have been busy in the shop the last few weeks. Ag 1 learned to weld, and completed a project with horseshoes. Ag 2 learned woodworking skills and ended the year with a wood planter project. Look for some of these projects at fairs this summer!

Sophomore and newly installed chapter secretary, Allison Bax’s main SAE is in swine production. She raises Hereford hogs for showing, breeding, and pork production in the family business, Bax Hereford Hogs. Along with daily care of her animals, Allison also makes sales of and delivers homegrown pork products to local customers. You can see Allison showing at local, district, and state fairs this year. In addition to swine production, she is in her second year of showing market lambs and is a smiling face behind the counter at the Eldon Central Bank.
