National Disability Employment Awareness Month may be coming to a close, but making sure people with disabilities have access to meaningful employment is a year-round discussion.

Meet LaToya! 👋

LaToya has worked at the student cafeteria at Stockton University in Galloway for three years. Prior to that, she worked at a local movie theater.

LaToya enjoys working at the campus, where she's also made many new friends. She acknowledged her supervisor, Lisa, for all her help and support over the years.

As we continue to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month, today we recognize Harry. 😀

Harry has worked at Red Lobster in Mays Landing for over 30 years! He's currently their longest-tenured employee.

"Hard-Workin' Harry," as his colleagues call him, prepares the silverware for customers. It's one of the most important jobs at the restaurant, because as Harry will tell you, "without silverware, no one would be able to eat."

Over the years, Harry has even met a few famous people who've dined at the restaurant. He loves his job and acknowledged how everyone who works at Red Lobster is very professional and respects one another.

In his free time, Harry likes to work out and listen to classic R&B music.

Meet John. 👋

He's worked at ShopRite of English Creek for the past eight years, working at the returns desk and assisting customers with bagging their orders.

Through his job, John has also made many friends. He expressed his gratitude to The Arc of Atlantic County for helping him find employment.

The Arc of Atlantic County was proud to support the Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc Equestrian Games on Sunday, October 18, 2026. 🐴🏅

All of the riders and horses did an incredible job in the obstacle course and judging ring. Kirby Reed, Assistant Director of Development and Community Outreach, was in attendance, handing out ribbons to the morning's winners.

We're grateful to Hearts for providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, and interact with these amazing horses!
