Atlantic County families depend on casino-hotel jobs. A new Atlantic County Economic Alliance report projects the region could lose about 5,100 of those jobs and $815 million in revenue by 2035. If two North Jersey casinos are approved, those losses could exceed 8,100 jobs and $1.3 billion.

I joined casino leaders and bipartisan South Jersey officials in Egg Harbor Township on Tuesday to oppose North Jersey casino expansion. Our workers and local businesses deserve a future that protects their livelihoods.

"From an equity standpoint, it's just not fair."

: Building Connections Across Atlantic County!

This summer, eight business engagement interns with the Atlantic County Economic Alliance (ACEA) visited local businesses in Absecon, Hammonton, Egg Harbor City, Somers Point, and Galloway. Their goal was to connect business owners with no-cost ACEA services and government-sponsored programs while gathering feedback on local needs and opportunities for growth.

From Roman’s Pizza exploring outdoor seating to Oddball Vintage supporting downtown development, these conversations highlighted the ideas and opportunities shaping Atlantic County’s small business community.

“Strong businesses and strong communities go hand in hand,” said Lauren Moore, ACEA President. “Through business outreach and workforce development, we’re connecting local businesses with valuable resources while giving college students experience to help launch their careers.”

ACEA looks forward to continuing outreach across Atlantic County’s 23 municipalities and helping local businesses thrive! Learn more about free resources for your business at www.aceanj.com.
