The Edgerton Teen Center is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Donations to this teen center are tax deductible. Its Mission is TO PLACE VALUE ON TEENS. The Edgerton Teen Center opened its doors to Edgerton area teens back in April of 1993. The games are Free. It expanded from the 1,000 square feet building at 212 W. Fulton St. location to a 5,000 square feet arena. After 17 years at that location

it moved again back to Edgerton's downtown.. After purchasing and renovating a historic building from circa 1850's it reopened with more opportunities where teens can experience positive and constructive activities. The teen center, governed by Non-Toxic Youth Alternatives, Inc., is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Since its creation in 1993, it has been and remains 100% volunteer staffed. No person has received financial compensation for his or her services. All monies raised go directly toward youth programs and building expenses. It is Faith Based-Christian. In 2006 it purchased forest laden property in the Ladysmith, WI. area and established a teen adventure camp- Bear Claw Lodge. A team of adult and teen volunteers cleared land and constructed a 1,400 square feet lodge. Volunteers created an ATV trail system, zip line, paintball field, air soft field and other outdoor activities. With the move and new location the teen center has created community activities as well. A soap box derby is scheduled for each July, and during the after school program a machine shop, wood shop, engineering class and other trade school electives await the teen who is interested in these areas of study. The PRO-Teen program is a hands on class where he or she works on projects immediately. The teen center encourages the arts. Many electric and acoustic guitars are available for free use every night. Included in the arts and entertainment arena are guitars, drums, keyboard, and bass guitars. Open Mic is every Friday and Saturday night. Here, during Open Mic, teens can show case their talents and artistic expression. Dramas, Plays and skits are performed on the stage. Many teens do not enjoy pool and other recreational games but are drawn to acting and singing and here we want to provide something for all teens. Teen bands perform monthly here and competitions are held-Battle of the Bands. The first Friday and First Saturday of every month holds 9-ball, and 8-ball pool tournaments. All the tournaments are free and trophies are awarded. Each December there is a grand championship tournament where the top four qualifiers shoot it out for the top prize--Grand Pool Champ for the year.
