At our August meeting tonight (at National Night Out), we voted to explore if there is interest in a Sons of the American Legion squadron in Edgerton. We would need at least 10 charter members to start.

Eligibility: Are you a son or grandson of a current American Legion member OR are you a son or grandson of a deceased veteran? There is no age limit.

Edgerton did have a Sons of the American Legion Squadron in 1936. Charles Tellefson was its first Captain. Other officers were: Paul John Goede, Frederick Schoenfeldt Jr, Richard Balke, Thomas Dickinson, Charles Sweeney Jr, Robert Balke, John Collins Jr, George Dallman Jr and Allen Schoenfeldt. Colors Guard: Jimmy Davis and Donald Balke. I have learned when it went dark.

Ralph Amundson Post 30 will have a booth at National Night Out. The first Tuesday of the month is our normal meeting day, but we voted to spend it at Racetrack Park instead. Hope to see you there from 5-8 pm.

I asked chatgpt to restore a newspaper photo of Ralph T Amundson from 1918 and let the program know the photo was taken in 1917. Here is the original and here is the results. I know AI can get things wrong, but I think it did a fairly good job. Do you see any errors?
