Received a phone call today asking if our post would want to meet with National Vice Commander of the American Legion Roy E Smith when he travels to Wisconsin. Yes!

The coordinator is still finalizing the schedule for his visit, but we know one of his stops will be Edgerton at 210 W Fulton St. Final date/time should be shared with us by the end of the weekend.

Grateful to be considered.

At our October 3rd meeting, Post 30 voted to approve a scholarship for 2027 Edgerton High School students.

Please visit the EHS Counseling Office to pick up an application. There is a short essay question - What does Selfless Service mean to Me? which ties into our value principles

The American Legion Value Principles are: A Veteran is a Veteran; Selfless Service; American Values and Patriotism; Family and Community Engagement; Advancing the Vision; and Honor those who came before Us

Last night we had a great meeting. First thank you to Gary D for buying food for us and Sherrie C for providing cake. No one left hungry.

A big Thank You to our membership. We were able to present the awards our post had received last month. Every member deserves a big round of applause.

Thank you to Steve F and Steven F for their presentation regarding their September 12th trip on the Badger Honor Flight. They let us know that Badger Honor Flight has opened up seats to anyone that has served through July 31, 1991. Younger veterans may be placed on a stand by list, but it is important to get signed up. I am including the link to Badger Honor Flight. There is an "Apply Now" tab at the top of the page. Thank you Steve for sharing your experience and photos from the day.

It was also great to have Trevor Andrews visit our meeting. We had honored him with a Senior Send Off in July and he recently graduated from USAF Basic Training.

We got a lot of business taken care of and then forgot to get a photo with the group with our Post Excellence Certificate. Oops.

We missed 3 officers that were excused, but still had 25 members present. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their night to come to the meeting.
