582! Five hundred eighty two. That’s how many lunches were served this week for the second week of Lunch In The Park! A huge thank you our sponsors this week —both on the same block on West Fulton Street. Thank you Pat's Realty Inc. and Lil' Fashion Finds & Consigns! We appreciate your support and your passion for this program. Also a huge thank you to our volunteers that have helped make, pack, deliver and serve all these lunches!

Next week we will continue to offer lunches at the elementary and middle schools as they wrap up their summer school session. We will also be at the pavilion in Central Park Monday through Thursday from 12-1. After next week we will provide lunch at the park only, still noon-1:00 and still Monday through Thursday, until the end of August. In the event of severe weather, lunches will be available at Edgerton Outreach and this will be posted on our page.

Lunch is available to all under 18 and a great reason to get outside, get social and maybe even put the screens down for a few minutes.

Did you know there's a program working to put laptops in the hands of Rock County residents who need them most?

Techquity is a digital equity initiative that distributes free devices to community members so everyone has the tools to connect, learn, and thrive. Access to technology is access to opportunity, and no one should be left behind because of a device gap.

On Tuesday, June 30, Techquity is coming to the Daniel Hale Williams Resource Center right here in Rock County for one of its largest events yet. If you or someone you know could benefit from a free laptop, this is the moment.

Today is a special day as we celebrate Karen Kopke on her birthday! Karen was featured in our latest annual report and shared some of her personal experiences from volunteering with us for the past 20 years! Happy birthday, Karen and thank you for your continued service to Outreach!

From Karen, “When I’m at Outreach, I can be myself, joke around, have people listen to me and know that they care about me. They are always concerned about my feelings even when I’m having a bad day. I know they care about me no matter what. They celebrate me. It’s the best feeling ever! I can’t tell these people enough how much I care about them and appreciate all that my Outreach family has done for me.”

Lunch In The Park Update: We're glad for the rain, but it makes it a little challenging for Lunch In The Park service. Instead of serving lunch at the park today, you can pick up kiddo lunches at Edgerton Outreach toady from Noon-1:00. If you have questions or special needs, call Sarah at 608-921-2905 for help.

We’re really excited about this fundraiser happening on June 27 at Bucky's Lucky Bell with Janesville’s American Legion. It’s a huge event with a day full of raffles, 50/50, food and music. If you haven’t seen the new outdoor space at the Lucky Bell, you need to swing in.

We are gladly accepting items for raffle baskets, or complete baskets or silent auction items. Please help us spread the word about the event and share our Facebook event!
