Our Young Men and Moms have been having the best time volunteering hundreds of hours with our philanthropy partners this summer! ☀️ From supporting athletes in the Special Olympics to delivering and packing food to games with our Miracle League buddies (and much more!), it’s been a blast and the summer’s not over yet!! Join us in celebrating our next Young Man Senior Spotlight, Cameron Rice, and his mom, Emily Rice.

Cameron’s favorite YMSL volunteer memories were with Special Olympics Minnesota. Of his experience volunteering with his mom, Cameron said, “She likes to volunteer for sports-related organizations, just like I do!”

He added that being part of YMSL has given him, “a deeper connection to the community and opportunities for service to others.”

Cameron’s advice for younger YMSL members is to “try new things and get involved!”

After graduation, Cameron will play junior hockey in British Columbia, Canada on his path to college.

Join us in celebrating our next Young Man Senior Spotlight, Eric Stelter, and his mom, Stacey Stelter.

Eric’s favorite YMSL volunteer memories were at Miracle League, Humanity Alliance, and Flags for Fort Snelling. Of his experience volunteering with his mom, Eric said, “We feel honored to have given back to the community and shared so many wonderful memories together.”

He added, “I’ve learned a sense of servitude – I’m blessed to be a blessing. Even in America there are people in need and there are simple ways we can all help.”

Eric’s advice for younger YMSL members is to “schedule a lot of volunteering over the summer and be intentional about scheduling time throughout the year as school gets busy. Really enjoy the time you have with your mom and friends helping others.”

After graduation, Eric plans to attend Crown College where he will study Pastoral Leadership and play baseball. He says, “I’m excited to meet new people and see what God has for my next chapter.”

Join us in celebrating our next Young Man Senior Spotlight, Jimi Plantage, and his mom, Naara Plantage.

Jimi’s favorite YMSL experiences involved volunteering for the Special Olympics where he “enjoyed spending fun time with kids with disabilities.”

Of his YMSL experiences, Jimi appreciated making new friends and developing an even stronger relationship with his mom. He learned that, “when my mom has a role, she gives it 100%.”

His advice for others: “Go in with an open heart, be patient. It’s the little moments that matter the most.”

After graduation, Jimi plans to attend the University of Minnesota where he’s excited to meet new people.

Join us in celebrating our next Young Man Senior Spotlight, Logan LaVelle, and his mom, Kristina LaVelle.

Logan’s favorite YMSL experience was volunteering for the Special Olympics.

Logan says he enjoyed the opportunities that YMSL gave him to spend time with his mom and see how she shared her kindness with others. He also enjoyed learning how to participate in and lead meetings.

Logan plans on attending Iowa State University this fall.

Join us in celebrating our next Young Man Senior Spotlight, Matthew Leidel, and his mom, Katie Leidel.

Matthew’s favorite YMSL volunteer experience was placing Flags for Fort Snelling. Of their time volunteering together, Katie says, “We made great memories! It was wonderful to give back to our community and see Matthew embrace these experiences as he grows into a kind and giving young adult.”

Matthew added, “Pushing me to try new things is great because my mom wants the best for me. I enjoy our time volunteering together.”

Matthew plans on attending the University of Iowa this fall where he looks forward to “all of the fun opportunities awaiting me!”

The Eden Prairie chapter of Young Men’s Service League recently gathered at Bearpath Golf & Country Club to celebrate an incredible year of service, leadership, and our chapter’s 10th anniversary. ❤️

This year alone, our chapter completed 4,773 hours of service supporting philanthropies throughout the community, including this year’s Ultimate Gift benefiting .

Join us in celebrating our first Young Man Senior Spotlight, Carson Stidger, and his mom, Niesha Stidger.

Carson’s favorite YMSL volunteer memories are with the Miracle League. Of his experience volunteering with his mom, Carson says, “I gained the ability to truly give back to my community, while spending quality time with my mom.”

His advice for others: “Step outside your comfort zone. When volunteering, I connected with so many new people that I never would have met otherwise.”

After graduation, Carson plans on attending Texas Christian University to study finance.
