Sculpture Tour Eau Claire Sculpture Tour Eau Claire is dedicated to providing free public art in the form of a year-round exhibit of original outdoor sculptures.

We seek to promote our local and regional art and artists. Each year, Sculpture Tour Eau Claire creates an ongoing free public art exhibit by installing original outdoor sculptures along the public streets of downtown Eau Claire. These pieces are exhibited for 11 months and artists are paid a stipend for the use of their work. Sculpture Tour Eau Claire has grown to over 80 sculptures, making it on

e of the largest tours of this type in the nation. Sculpture Tour Eau Claire is made possible through sponsorships by area businesses and private supporters, as well as donations from the public and thousands of volunteer hours. Sculpture Tour Eau Claire is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with the goal of enhancing the quality of life in Eau Claire by using the arts to promote tourism, encourage active lifestyles, engage residents and visitors, spur economic development, foster art education and lifelong learning, encourage social inclusion, build community pride, unify our community, promote our local artists, and revitalize downtown Eau Claire with a creative economy.

"Feline Fiasco" has quickly become a favorite stop on the tour for animal lovers all around! ✨🐈‍⬛ Placed along the bustling streets of downtown Eau Claire, artist Scott Schlag has perfectly captured the "essence of what life is like with those crazy felines." Inspired by his own pets, past and present, there is no shortage of personality-filled elements within this sculpture.

With the official release of Sculpture Tour 2026-27, we are excited to start highlighting our new pieces! 🎨

Our first piece is "Treasure Tower," created by Gail Katz-James, a Minneapolis artist who transforms steel, wire and recycled objects into sculptures. This interactive piece sits between Royal Credit Union and JAMF, adding a playfulness to the space.

This piece is explained best by the artist themselves: "Treasure Tower is one in my series of conical towers which explore the intersection between natural structures (trees, rocks, plants) and human built architecture. Visitors are invited to open the small doors and touch the items inside. Enjoy Treasure Tower on many levels – as an abstract linear sculpture which casts curious shadows at different times of day, as a celebration of light and color, and as an invitation to play."

Happy World Otter Day! 🦦✨

We are thrilled to officially introduce you to “Carpe Carp,” a stunning bronze sculpture by artist Christine Knapp. You can now find this playful piece right in front of Chippewa Valley Technical College's Business Education Center as part of our 2026-27 tour.

While the River Otter has been the official mascot of CVTC since 2023, this installation gives the "Otter" identity a home on campus! This piece stands as a tribute to the agility, intelligence, and playful nature that CVTC students have embraced for years!

Art, connection, and community! 🎨✨

We had such a wonderful time celebrating the creative minds of the 2026-27 tour at our Artists Reception. It was a night filled with great conversation and excitement as we kicked off another splendid year of public art in Eau Claire. Seeing our local and visiting artists connect with one another is what this tour is all about!

Today is officially Installation Day, and we couldn't be more excited to introduce you to our new tour lineup! Our team and artists have been hard at work all morning placing 35 brand-new pieces across Eau Claire.

This year’s tour features a stunning mix of styles, materials, and stories. Whether they are returning favorites or world-class pieces making their EC debut, these sculptures are here for YOU to enjoy 24/7.

ColorBlock is looking for artists to paint Adirondack chairs live at Summer Jam on June 19–20! Enjoy the music of Third Eye Blind, Styx, and Bret Michaels while creating a new local landmark.

The Opportunities:
🪑 Standard Chairs: $500 stipend (8 available)
🪑 Giant Chairs: $1,000 stipend (2 available)
🎸 Bonus: Free festival access for selected artists!

We’re looking for designs inspired by Eau Claire—think rivers, music, Kubb, and community pride. Your art will be displayed publicly around the area for up to 3 years!
