HHH is a Georgia based 501c3 nonprofit that rescues horses from slaughter pens across the US. HHH rescues horses from slaughter houses/kill pens. .

After rehabilitation, our horses are shared with groups including veterans, first responders, special needs children and foster children for special events. We adopt horses of various types, ages and varying levels of health. We rehabilitate the horses and invite groups to our farm for weekend events to meet the horses, take trail rides, groom the horses, etc. Our retreats focus on veterans, first responders, at-risk youth, special needs children and children in foster care.

It’s been almost 3 weeks and Cowboy is doing really well. He was so shut down when he arrived, and he has a bad skin infection but he’s been great with his medicated baths and I think he’s starting to understand that we only want to help him and love him. Here’s to healing - inside and outside! ❤️‍🩹

Wanted to end the week with a positive update on Dakota. She’s looking great and is among the SWEETEST horses we have. It’s your support that saved her and in turn, saved her unborn baby - Lincoln who is just full of love and sass!

It’s Friday and that means a Fred update! He greets the first person to arrive each morning with love and leg rubs.

Why? Why save a mustang filly? She doesn’t fit with our programming. She’s sick. She’s skinny. Untrained. We won’t even put a saddle on her back for two years. Why? Because her story is one everyone can understand- counted out before you are ever given a chance. 30 minutes from shipping to slaughter - but her kind eyes pleaded to be saved. Combat wounded veterans who feel like they didn’t get a chance at recovery understand her story. Caregivers who feel unseen understand her story. Foster kids who came into this world with huge odds against them understand her story. Her life matters. So yeah, we saved a horse that isn’t a good fit and with more donations and adoptions, we will do it again and again. This is rescue and we CANNOT do it without your donations and support. .

There were 5 fillies at a kill pen in Texas. We don’t usually take those kind of horses - but at 2 years old they have their whole life in front of them. We shook the couch cushions and came up with bail for ONE, but we need to raise $800 for transport. Can you help? When we rescued Pearl we were told she was 12. She’s actually in her mid30’s and we call her Grandma Pearl. But we are SO grateful we saved her bec she’s awesome! She’s still rideable and as a Percheron, looks great for her age. She stepped in when we had to wean Lincoln from Dakota early and has taught her to be a sweet filly. This is rescue!
