What have we been doing this summer at RESULTS Mentoring?
Mentoring. Teaching. Preparing. Creating. And getting RESULTS.
Our students spent the summer learning about STEM and energy, strengthening their math and english skills for the upcoming school year, exploring entrepreneurship - and even stepping into the studio to create original music and a video.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate them at our RESULTS Mentoring Graduation, and I could not be prouder of our young people. Thank you to every student who showed up, worked hard and allowed us to pour into you; and to every parent and family member who trusted us with your children this summer.
A special thank you to Scott Alan Davis and SEEL, LLC, Cathy Nedd of Biz Kid, and Stan Wilkinson of Jarrett Hospitality for serving as judges for our Entrepreneur Showcase and encouraging our young entrepreneurs.
Thank you to Eric Douglass and the SEEL team for introducing our students to BPI, building science and opportunities in the energy industry.
And a huge shout-out to Marcus “Deheatmizer” Devine for your music and production leadership and for helping our students turn their creativity into something they can see, hear and be proud of.
Finally, thank you to our educators and the entire RESULTS team who taught, mentored, encouraged and helped us get RESULTS all summer long. Here are the stats:
To date, we have reached several important milestones:
• 13 BPI BSP certificates earned
• 87% average BPI BSP score
• 103 courses successfully completed in HVAC, Business, Plumbing and Entrepreneurship, Microsoft, Adobe and other energy related courses.
