This is more than a class, this is preparation for life as they set goals, build resumes, and take ownership of the future they’re creating.

Growth looks like recognizing the strength within and letting the love that’s been poured into you flow outward. Our young men didn’t just cook a meal, they shared the confidence and skills growing within them, serving a delicious meal they prepared and filling the room with love. What a day! 💛 The community came together, smiles were shared, meals were served, and hearts were full. From food boxes to health screenings, yesterday reminded us what happens when we lift each other up. 🌟

Yesterday’s Day of Service was truly inspiring! 💛 With amazing partnerships, we poured love, patience, kindness, and servitude back into our community. We were able to serve over 125 hot meals and, alongside and , distributed more than 30 boxes of food and turkeys.

A huge thank you to and .u.f.e_detroit for their dedication to serving, and to and for educating and supporting our community. Special thanks to Mobile Health Unit for providing health screenings. A special thank you and huge shout out to our sponsor and everyone who donated in any capacity.

This day was a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when hearts come together in service. Here’s to growing partnerships and making a difference—one act of kindness at a time. 🌟

When one of our young people reached out after a tough moment, we did what community does — showed up. He had a job interview and needed clothes and a fresh start, so we went thrifting together and made sure he had everything he needed. This is our second time visiting and such incredible murals with a new group of young men, and each time, the youth have shared such thoughtful insights about how it moves them. It’s truly inspiring to see these young men connect with a piece of art and express the feelings and reflections it sparks within them.

When asked, “If you could paint a mural, what would you paint?” their answers were powerful:

• One said, “My city, because it has given me so much and shaped who I am.” 🏙️

• Another said, “I would paint myself.” 💫

• And another shared, “I would paint a portrait to show the anger I have inside.” 🎭

• Another stated “I would display all the emotions I feel on a piece of chart.”

Art has a way of speaking when words sometimes fall short, and witnessing their perspectives reminds us of the power of creative expression and the strength it takes to share your truth. 💭❤️
