Hunger in Focus: Art, Humanity, and the Call to Act Made possible by the generosity of the Cornelia T. Bailey Foundation, End Hunger CT! proudly hosted an inspiring evening centered on awareness, creativity, and action.

The night featured a powerful fireside chat led by our Policy Coordinator, Amari Brantley alongside special guest Olivia Be’Nguyen Fiyabomb, whose voice and perspective brought depth and urgency to the conversation.

Guests also experienced a moving exhibit showcasing artwork from local youth, capturing the reality of hunger through their own lens - honest, emotional, and impossible to ignore.

Together, we reflected, connected, and reaffirmed our shared commitment to ending hunger in our communities.

If you would like to view the exhibit it is currently on display until May 1, 2026 at Grasso-Fauliso Building located at 450 Columbus Blvd in Hartford.

The conversation doesn’t end here. In us in taking action!

1 in 8 people in Connecticut are food insecure. Many of them don't know they may qualify for SNAP benefits that could help put food on the table.

EHC! runs a free statewide call center and online prescreener to help Connecticut residents find out if they're eligible and navigate enrollment. No one should go hungry because the system is hard to navigate.

Today is Day 1 of , and giving is live right now. Bonus: if we receive 15 donations between noon and 1pm, we're entered into a drawing to win $500 in additional funds. Share this post and help us get there.

Something exciting is happening tomorrow, and we want you to be part of it.

Starting at 6am on March 31st, End Hunger CT! is joining — a 48-hour giving event bringing together 120+ nonprofits across 56 Connecticut towns.

For 25 years, we've fought to make sure every person in Connecticut has access to nutritious food. Right now, that work is more urgent than ever. Tomorrow, you can help us keep it going.

Here's where it gets exciting: donations made between 6 and 7am tomorrow count toward the Kickoff Power Hour prize. The more unique donors we get in that first hour, the better our chances of winning bonus funds to support our work.

The Connecticut legislature is back in session, and we’re encouraged to see funding for free school breakfasts and free lunches for students who currently qualify for reduced-price meals included in the Governor’s proposed budget.

We’re thankful to Governor Lamont for recognizing the importance of school meals as a cornerstone of student well-being and academic success. As the legislative session gets underway, End Hunger CT! is excited to roll up our sleeves and work alongside partners, advocates, and policymakers to move this effort forward.
