Members wanted a 501(c)3 charity to accept tax-deductible contributions and respond quickly in times of need. The Foundation formalizes the charitable efforts of the Association, but it is not CTR. The Connecticut REALTORS Foundation was established in February 2009 as a separate entity independent of CTR with a separate Board of Trustees. Memorial Scholarship Fund is part of the Foundation. und and all donations to the fund are used exclusively to award scholarships to the children of Connecticut REALTORS members. More than ONE MILLION DOLLARS in scholarships have been awarded since 1976. In recent years, the Foundation has expanded its natural disaster and scholarship efforts to include programs addressing hunger, homelessness, child and animal welfare throughout Connecticut. From diaper and mattress drives to an award-winning opioid awareness campaign and an annual campaign aimed at ending family homelessness in Connecticut - with the continued generosity of our members/donors, we hope to live up to our mission: "To be good neighbors to our members, our communities and the world.

Our 11th annual "Dog Days of Summer" campaign officially kicked off with a bang at Tuesday's CTR BOD meeting! Directors generously donated requested items for our two benefitting animal welfare organizations: Project Precious Rescue and Veterinary Care Everywhere, along with $1,130 in monetary donations. Thanks to CTR Directors for their continued support of all of our Foundation programs...now we need YOUR support! Our next scholarship recipient is Matthew Lagana, son of REALTOR Rosa Lagana. They stopped by to see our friends at the Stamford Board of REALTORS office. Matthew's scholarship is one of the Gates CTR Past President Tribute scholarships presented each year - this one in memory of Past CT REALTORS President Frank Green who was a long-time member of the Stamford Board. Sending our very best wishes to future Dr. Lagana... 👩‍🎓💙👨‍🎓

It's our favorite time of year...time to recognize some of the amazing recipients of this year's Raymond F. Gates, Jr. Memorial scholarships! Our first scholarships were presented today by The Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtors. With just over 2 weeks left (deadline to donate is 6/28), the CT REALTORS Foundation needs your support to reach our goal. The Foundation participates in the Travelers Championship "Birdies for Charity" fundraising program each year, but this year is a special one - it's the 50th anniversary of the scholarship fund. We are hoping to raise some additional funds to keep the program running strong for 50 more years!
