CT Realtors Care

CT Realtors Care The Connecticut Association of REALTORS® Foundation The Foundation was established at the request of the membership. The Raymond F. Gates, Jr. REALTORS Care."

Members wanted a 501(c)3 charity to accept tax-deductible contributions and respond quickly in times of need. The Foundation formalizes the charitable efforts of the Association, but it is not CTR. The Connecticut REALTORS Foundation was established in February 2009 as a separate entity independent of CTR with a separate Board of Trustees. Memorial Scholarship Fund is part of the Foundation. The f

und and all donations to the fund are used exclusively to award scholarships to the children of Connecticut REALTORS members. More than ONE MILLION DOLLARS in scholarships have been awarded since 1976. In recent years, the Foundation has expanded its natural disaster and scholarship efforts to include programs addressing hunger, homelessness, child and animal welfare throughout Connecticut. From diaper and mattress drives to an award-winning opioid awareness campaign and an annual campaign aimed at ending family homelessness in Connecticut - with the continued generosity of our members/donors, we hope to live up to our mission: "To be good neighbors to our members, our communities and the world.

Time to wrap up 2025 on a high note. Our 2025 "be homeful for the holidays" campaign celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. And we're happy to report that it has been the best year yet! Thanks to our generous supporters, we've raised just over $62,000 with a few more pledges still to come in. With funding and grant cuts looming, every dollar we raised has become more important than ever in the fight to PREVENT family homelessness before it begins. From the bottom of our heart, we would like to thank every individual member, member firm, local Board/Board Foundation, MLS and the members of the public who donated. To our partners at the CT Coalition to End Homelessness, we are grateful for the opportunity to join you in this campaign and we know that your work has just begun in administering the funds raised. We truly could not do this without the support of our local Boards who not only promote, fundraise and donate - but who step up to the plate every year to deliver the Paddington gifts - this year, that included more than 1,900 gifts to 31 shelters/homeless organizations across the state. And we definitely could not do this without the generous involvement of Daley Moving & Storage who each and every year has donated a truck/driver to get the gifts to our local Boards. And last but not least - to all of the providers facing the challenge of preventing homelessness on a daily basis and never giving up the fight - THANK YOU!!! It definitely takes a village...and we wish ours a happy, healthy New Year... ❤️🐻💚

Our final delivery was a big one - the New Haven Middlesex Association of Realtors delivered more than 350 Paddington gifts to 6 homeless organizations! They are also consistently one of our top fundraising teams ( #2 this year with $11,575). Their stops included Beth-El Center in Milford, Catholic Charities of Middletown, Christian Community Action, Inc. in New Haven, Community Solutions, Inc.-SAIL/Youth Program in Meriden, CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence in Middletown and New Reach in New Haven. So many members to thank: NHM President Gena Ruocco-Lockery, Doug Blackwood (also a CTR Foundation Trustee), David Candelora and Lorrie Maiorano along with NHM/Commercial Investment Division members Jeremy Rosner, Renee Stevens and Arin Hayden. Always thankful for NHM staff support/coordination from CEO Dawn, Bernadette and Rachael. And we can't forget NHM's Paddington gift inspector, Nugget, who knew the struggle of being homeless himself until he was adopted by Rachael. Nugget has been supervising deliveries and making sure everything arrives safe and sound since 2020... ❤️🐻💚
