is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal sanctuary and animal-assisted therapy center committed to helping people make a positive connection with life through our animals. Every day we hear about violence, crimes of the heart and crimes of conscience. But we still search for something good, something true. Our greatest accomplishment has been bringing people and animals together, offering something good a
nd true -- for our clients and the community at large. ANIMAL RESCUE
We rescue and care for neglected, injured, discarded or abused large animals. We also facilitate adoption and placement of rescue animals. RIDING AND PROGRAMS FOR ANIMAL CARE & UNDERSTANDING
At Ray of Light, it's not all about the ride. Along with riding instruction, we concentrate on promoting a genuine understanding of animals and how to care for them. We offer: riding instruction (mainly English), Youth and Adult instruction, and Special Needs Instruction. Regardless of what we do with our horses (mounted or unmounted work), we strive to build a strong partnership with our horse. Our goal is to do things WITH our horses, not do things TO our horses. Our horses are our partners and friends. ANIMAL-ASSISTED THERAPY
We pair animals with children and adults in ways that improve the physical and emotional well being of horse and human. HORSE FEATHERS VETERANS PROGRAM
This program involves helping veterans through equine therapy. It is an equine driving and groundwork program for all veterans, including those with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). The program focuses on harnessing, emergency unloading, ground driving, horse evaluation, and “putting to” the cart. FOR THE COMMUNITY
