T-minus 1 week until we get started on The Little Playground That Could! ❤️

And look at us already checking things off the list…

A huge thank you to for always showing up when we need them! The old basketball hoops are officially gone and making way for a brand new one.

And a special shoutout to the Palmer Family for donating an ADA basketball hoop! One where every kid can roll up, shoot hoops, play together, and just be a kid.

Honestly, this whole project keeps reminding us why Falmouth is such a special place. Every time we turn around, someone is stepping up to help make this playground better.

So consider this your warning: we’re entering the fun part. Dirt moving. Equipment showing up. Progress pictures. Way too many playground posts.

You’ve all been patient through the fundraising phase… now you get to watch this thing actually happen.

It’s been over 200 days of kids staring out at an empty lot like, “soooo… where’s our playground?” 😭

200+ days of recess with no slides, no monkey bars, no dramatic games of lava monster tag. Just vibes and imagination carrying the team.

But here’s the thing this community turned a wild dream into an almost reality. And not just any playground. A fully inclusive, ADA accessible playground where every kid belongs, every kid plays and every kid gets to burn off the kind of energy teachers fear after indoor recess.

We are SO close. Like “can practically hear the squeaky swings and snack wrappers blowing in the wind” close.

Huge thank you to the Kevin & Karen Lynch Foundation for supporting the Teaticket Community Playground!

At this point, this playground project is basically powered by community, determination and a slightly concerning amount of caffeine 🤣

But donations like yours keep reminding us why we’re doing this. Because every child deserves a place to play, belong and just be a kid — no matter their age or ability.

Falmouth Education Foundation for supporting the Teaticket Community Playground through their generous grant!

For years, FEF has invested in helping Falmouth students grow, learn and thrive ✨ not just academically, but as whole children. So it feels incredibly meaningful to have them support a project that continues that mission outside the classroom too.

Because the truth is… play matters. Inclusion matters. Feeling like you belong matters.

This grant specifically helps the creation of our fully ADA accessible and inclusive playground — a space designed so more kids can participate, connect, build confidence and simply experience the joy of being a kid without barriers standing in the way.

And honestly, Falmouth needs this. Families need this. Kids need this.

We’re so grateful FEF saw the heart behind this project and chose to invest in something that will impact students and families for generations to come. ❤️

A huge thank you to the The Woods Hole Foundation for supporting the Teaticket Community Playground!

There’s something really full-circle about a local foundation helping build a place where local kids will laugh, grow, climb, connect and just be kids for years to come. That’s community.

This project has taken a whole village ❤️❤️❤️people showing up in big ways, small ways and every way in between. The Woods Hole Foundation stepped in and became part of that story, helping us move one step closer to bringing inclusive play back to Teaticket.

And let’s be honest… fundraising for a $400,000 playground sometimes feels a little “what did we get ourselves into?” 🤣 But donations like this are the kind that make us stand a little taller, breathe a little easier and keep charging forward.

Thank you for believing in this project, believing in our kids and helping build something that will serve families, students and our entire community for years to come. ❤️

Being the first bank to get behind this project feels really special to us. Community partnerships like this are what keep projects like ours alive and moving. You saw a need in town, believed in what we’re building and chose to be part of it and that matters.

✨ Cape Cod 5 has always felt like a bank that understands the people behind the accounts, the families behind the fundraising and the heart behind community projects. That’s exactly what this playground is about too.

A huge heartfelt thank you to Friendship Garden Nursery School for supporting our playground project and believing in the power of play the same way we do ❤️

Friendship Garden knows what childhood should look like — outdoor play, imagination, creativity, messy fun and kids just getting to be kids. And that’s exactly why building this fully inclusive, ADA-accessible playground means so much to us.

Because every child deserves a place to run, laugh, explore, make friends and feel included. No barriers. No child left watching from the sidelines. Just good old fashioned play for children of all abilities.

This playground is going to mean so much to so many families in our community, and we’re incredibly thankful to Friendship Garden for helping us get there.
