Stabilization is a necessary step in a survivor being able to recover from the complex trauma of s*xual exploitation. A place to feel safe, rest, begin to trust again and develop self esteem to make their own decisions. A privilege taken by their traffickers. Survivors given the opportunity to have a period of stabilization have better recovery outcomes. 💙

Identification is the beginning of the recovery process. Knowing what trafficking looks like will forward the fight against trafficking. Recognizing it will no longer allow it to hide in plain sight. Survivors often don't self identify because of the way trafficking is portrayed in the media. Know the Signs.. It could save a life! 💙
