Traffic Alert: SR 203 Paving Project Begins July 27

If you travel between Duvall and Monroe, plan for extra travel time starting Monday, July 27.

WSDOT will begin paving nearly 11 miles of SR 203 from just south of Duvall to the Monroe city limits. Most work will take place overnight through late October, with alternating single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers and pilot cars. Two weekend lane closures are also expected for bridge repairs.

Please note: The section of SR 203 through downtown Duvall will not be paved as part of this project.

With warmer weather comes more time outdoors — and more chances for prowlers to take advantage of open garages and unsecured property. Please keep your garage closed, even if you’re nearby.

If you see anything suspicious, report it. In case of emergency call 911 or 425-556-2500

From one of our residents:

I'm reaching out regarding the gunfire heard around the lake late
Saturday night (June 13). We first heard it about 11:45 pm and it continued intermittently until 2 am. The pattern seemed to be 2-3 individual rounds followed by a burst of fully-automatic fire of 8-15 rounds. Our neighbors on the east side of the lake heard it and most everyone's dogs/pets were up throughout the night.

I called 911 at 1:30 am and reported it. I shared that it seemed to
be coming from the west side of the lake, likely a back lot or beyond. The operator shared they'd received several calls. Deputies were notified but likely not dispatched.

We suggest calling if you hear it again; the more people report it, the more likely it is they will actually do something about it.
