"I want you to have an encounter with the living God, similar to what Ezekiel had by the Kbar River, to look up with him at the almost incomprehensible, indescribable vision of the glory of God that God gave him when he called him to be his messenger and his prophet. I want to walk through aspects of this vision with you and Ezekiel's prophetic call. And my desire is that each of us would be humbled by that vision and that we would be empowered to do what God has called us to do."

Forty years ago, while sitting on a bench waiting for a bus in Africa, Andy Davis began memorizing Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. He had no idea that a way to pass the time would become one of the most fruitful practices of his entire pastoral ministry.

After decades of pastoral ministry, Andy says that no spiritual discipline has been more helpful to the work God called him to. Scripture memorization doesn't simply put more Bible verses in our minds. It helps God's Word shape how we know Christ, prepare to preach, and shepherd His people.
